Teshuvah Roots:
Context:
Our earth mother's equilibrium is challenged by anthrocentric activity. We rejuvenate, revitalize, restore, & nurture her through:
spacious time on wild land, story exploration, ritual, skill honing, ecosystem tending, dream sharing, honoring what arises, & healing portal discovery.
Teshuvah means return in hebrew. The roots of Judaism & most religions dwell when the Goddess (referred to as Divine Feminine (Shekhinah, Tzimtzemai, El Shaddai...) was worshipped. Moon cycles guided time, plant medicine kept people healthy, animals were allies, nomadic tribal people built altars; shrines were cairns in ritually infused lives.
After years of forced exile, patriarchal displacement of matriarchal social structures, canonization of prayer, urbanization of agricultural traditions, exploitation of life supporting systems, many ancient ways have been hidden BUT NOT forgotten.
Mission:
At Roots & Trails we uncover, listen, discern, & breathe into the coal roots from which our ancestral tradition stems. As we learn to nurture these coal roots, they glow ablaze like the 'ner tamid,' eternal light, to inspire & encourage integrated, life-sustaining service, authentic to individual & collective participants.
