Night 4: 4th Licht! Honoring our Ancestors Gathering
Wednesday, December 17, 6pm - 8:00 pm Burlington (South End) Roots & Trails Sanctuary
Kids: Welcome, though the house is not child-proofed.
Kavanah: Opportunity to honor our ancestors together and for community members to connect through stories and songs. We will light candles together after sundown, meditate with the flames in silence, sing songs, share ancestor stories, and enjoy a vegetarian, gluten free potluck meal. Feel free to bring menorahs with candles, instruments, altar items, stories and photographs of your cherished ancestors. There will be time for any activities to lead that you learned from these loved ones.
Things to know: Our house is eco-kosher, nightshade and mostly dairy-free (dishes with these ingredients are welcome; please label your dish!). We will make a large pot of soup and gluten-free latkes. The gathering is on the ground floor with two steps to enter. We take off outdoor shoes so bring indoor shoes. The bathroom facility is up a flight of stairs. A friendly, semi-feral cat lives here. Free parking is on the street. We can run an air filter. Masks are welcome yet not required.
Will alcohol be present: No. Please note: We will eat on the early side (6:30 pm). Capacity: 15 humans (adults & children). Sign up here
